Spiderman

It's the real deal!
I tried to get Myles to put on his Spiderman shirt when I picked him up from school. He did not want to put it on, because the last time he wore it he spilled grape juice on it. There is a very light stain. (Again, notice the entertainer, Max!)

At first, Myles was not sure he wanted me to put him down to see Spidey. Max walked right over and gave him a huge hug. Then Myles found it okay to get down. He then asked Spidey if he brought his webs. When Spiderman was unresponsive, we took it as a "no".

We made it to Chic-fil-a just in time to grab the last free table. It was right by the ordering counter, so it worked great since Daddy was not with us yet. The boys had a ball watching Batman cartoons on the small tv by our table. Plus, they loved the kids in their superhero costumes. (I felt like we were "betraying" Spiderman if we would have shown up in our Batman and Superman costumes. However, there were tons of kids dressed as superheroes.) It really was fun...and the boys got free ice cream.

Ice Cream Fun

Last night we went to Cheesecake Factory to celebrate Aunt Monique's birthday. Her birthday is actually on Valentine's Day, and we enjoyed celebrating two days in a row.

Max, Myles and Angelo (their cousin) loved the ice cream.

I Love My Valentines!

Max and Myles made my "valentine roses" at school. I absolutely love anything with handprints, and these are priceless. I was lucky enough to get a dozen since I had TWO boys!

Always a fan!

We are disappointed our Wildcats did not win today. Today I thought of the many times K-State has been blown away by KU. There have been many years of basketball when our poor Cats got smoked. It was nice to see them lead some of the time.

By the way, did you notice how entertaining Max is in the pictures above? He is always "game" for anything. And his brother...well...he definitely has a mind of his own. I just love them!

Oh, the Smell of Play Dough

Play Dough reminds me of being a kid. It brings back happy memories and thoughts of being a kid. I actually like the smell, but yet I cannot imagine my mom allowing us to have such a messy "toy". Sean even made this same comment when the boys were playing with it tonight. (Side note: My mom is very clean!) They had so much fun with the "tools" that made shapes and wormy-looking stuff that reminds me of hair. I told Sean it's good for their fine motor... And for you moms who are not teachers, boys need to work on fine motor. Theirs is usually not as defined as girls since they don't tend to sit and color. Get them coloring, cutting with scissors and using Play Dough!

Sean was not excited about the boys getting it out and making such a mess. Isn't it me that is supposed to worry about the messes??

Some "Older" Pictures

Tonight I found a memory stick to our old camera. I popped it in the computer and found my heart full of happiness. It's been a while since I have seen these newborn babies, but I thought I'd give you a quick glimpse of them in the NICU. Remember, when they were born I had been "sitting around" quite a bit. Too bad I had not started a blog to keep me busy. I sure wish I had started sooner to have saved more memories of these tiny miracles.

I decided I should include this one of me. This picture was taken 3 days before I delivered the boys. As I look at this picture I wonder why it looks so much emptier and the carpet looks so much cleaner. Then I come back to reality and remember...
This is Max less than a day old. He was 5lb 12oz if you want to know how big he was.
This is one of the few I have where you can see from above. This is Max too.
Here's Myles. He was 4lbs 10oz. Notice the black and blue foot. It was from taking blood. The boys went into incubators not long after these were taken. I guess they always start the babies off with minimum and then see what they can do on their own.
Papa and Max. I think Max is telling Papa he is not fond of his Huskers jacket!

I think this is Myles with GJ. My mom is the sole reason we have survived having TWO preemie babies at the same time. She stayed with us Sunday night through Friday night and then slept at home on Saturdays and Sundays. She was and still is truly a blessing. All of our family is, but GJ can say she was there through thick and thin.
If you look to the left of my mom's shoulder you will see a "B" with small footprints next to it. The B represents Baby B which was Myles. Those are his footprints and his name is next to them. I believe there was also a dinosaur by the prints.
Look at the chair I am sitting in. You can see the milk in the feeding tube for Max. It was probably 7-8 mL...MILLILITERS! It's like one and a half teaspoons. Seriously!

Look how much younger and thinner I look here! (And Kelly had the guts to show up with full makeup and outfit!) Geez, I have aged in the past 3 years. I am now showing signs of sleepless nights and busy days. I'm not complaining, because I know just how blessed I am!

Snow Day!

Max and Myles finally experienced snow. Yes, I know we have had lots of snow in the past three years, but I told Sean the minute they play in it they will know how fun it is. And then they will want to play in it whenever it snows...

Lord knows we have been scooping and shoveling for years. Notice how Max has a rake. The handle to his snow shovel broke off, so he was not interested in using it. As soon as his brother put his down, he was all over it.

I think these two would have played all day. Max was not sure he wanted his mittens on, so I told him if he took them off we would be heading in soon. It's just like Max to want to take an article of clothing off.

Believe it or not, the boys were a help. Look how much Myles scooped up!

We had lots of fun. Luckily our house faces north, so our snow lasts a lot longer than others. As many of you know, I am always dreaming of snow days during the week. I am still hanging on to hope that there will be one for me this school year.
