I went to school and received a message that Sean was on the phone for me. He said Myles had fallen at school and cut his nose. The teachers put ice and pressure on it, but they were afraid it might need stitches. Needless-to-say, I was anxious, so I got my stuff ready for a sub and drove to the doctor's office to meet Sean and the boys. We ended up parking right behind each other and got right in to a room once we got to Pediatric Partners. (They were so good to us. I called and they told me to come right away. They would be able to take care of it if stitches were needed.)
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Myles. The word should have been STITCH in the single form, because it looked more like he got his nose pierced with a nose ring. :) The doctor came in right away and looked at it. He said it did not need to be stitched, but that we needed to wait and he would be back.
An hour later he returned. We got the best possible outcome. Do nothing! Just wash it with soap and water each day and put a dab of Neosporin on it. The only time Myles cried was when the doctor tried to put a band-aid on his nose. He hates band-aids!! I told the doctor that had this happened at home, I would have just put a band-aid on it and left it alone. He reassurred us that it's best to be safe and not sorry.
We went to Chick-fil-a, ate lunch, and played. You would never know anything was ever wrong with this guy!
